Pandemic?

Good lord, with the onset of the Swine flu pandemic and now the earthquake in Mexico City, any person of even slightly religious tendencies might believe the end is near. If all you read about is the 149 or so deaths in Mexico from the flu, and about the 5.6 magnatude earthquake that struck Mexico City early this morning you might be led to believe its the time of the end days.

Panic begins to creep in as you read about the WHO declaring pandemic status and flu vaccine being readied worldwide. One could easily think we are on the brink of disaster.

Lets be real for a moment here. About 36,000 people die world wide each year from various strains of flu and that garners little news. The truth is, swine is just another type of flu and like all the others kills the weak. This means the elderly, the young, and those with compromised immune systems.

So before you panic and run pelmel out into the streets, use the internet and do your research. Discover its just another case of cry wolf and go back to your normal routine. If you feel you must do something, then take this as a chance to improve your overall health and diet program.
